Palm Sunday at Mimi and Opa’s

We took our first weekend trip to Briana’s parents house this weekend. Many of her family had not met Sarah yet, so Mimi had a party at her house. We had a great time with lots of family and friends.

Granny and Lori Visit ’06

Today granny Eunice and aunt Lori came up for the day with Briana’s mom. They had a great time playing with Joshua and meeting Sarah for the first time.

Amber Visit ’06

Briana’s sister Amber came for a visit today. She is on her way home for the week for her spring break. She had a nice time cuddling with her niece and nephew.

Sarah’s Baby Dedication

We dedicated Sarah today at church. We are committing to raising her according to God’s Word and Love. We pray that she, along with Joshua, may come to know Jesus one day as her personal Lord and Savior. We had a nice time with the family and friends who joined us for the occasion.

Michelle Visits

Michelle, a missionary in Russia, is visiting in the states for the month. She came and spent an afternoon with us and had a fabulous time with the children. It had been almost five years since we had seen her last. I orginally met Michelle in Russia in 1999 on a mission trip with Frazer.

Anne Louise Pass’ 10th Birthday Dinner

Our niece celebrated her 10th birthday today with all the family. We ate at the Japanese restaurant Miyako. Sarah and Joshua wore the cute matching outfits that Robin brought them back from China.

Valentines Day ’06

Aren't they the cutest little children! Joshua loves giving his sister kisses. It is just hard to catch him being still enough to get a good picture of it!

The Ya-Ya’s

Briana’s aunts traveled from great distances to meet Sarah. Briana’s mom drove up from Baldwin County with her sisters, Mary Lou and Jeannie, and her long time friend, Sue. We had a nice lunch and visit before they returned to Fairhope, Mobile, and New Orleans that afternoon.

Meeting the Aunts and Uncles

We had a nice visit with Jason’s dad and his brothers and sisters today. Aunt Katie came down for North Carolina just to meet Sarah. Jason’s brothers, Daniel and Jonathan came as well to meet Sarah for the first time. Ruby came with Jonathan to meet her too. Robin joined us later! And, of course, Joshua had a blast playing with Pa!

Life with Four

Life as a family of four has been nice these last few months. This assortment of pictures is from January to April 2006.

Joshua’s First Birthday

We celebrated Joshua's First Birthday on October 23, 2005 since his birthday was the next day on a Monday. We had a lovely time at Oak Park with family and friends. Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber even dropped by for a visit!

Pictures from ’05

This is an assortment of pictures of things from the rest of 2005. We had quite an exciting year with Joshua and ended it off by adding Sarah!

One Week Old Sarah

Sarah was one week old today. Wow time sure does fly when you are tired and having fun! Grandonna made it over today to get to meet Sarah. Due to the latest horse show, she had been out of town for the last week. She enjoyed getting to know her 10th granddaughter. Joshua also enjoyed getting to play with his Grandonna. He is only a little bit of jealousy has been when other people come to see Sarah and the visitors attention is not on him. Robin brought Katy and Ella Grace for lunch just in time for Jason to join us too. We had tasty pizza and a good time. Joshua was even more thrilled to have cousins to play with at this point. He laughed so hard as Katy and Ella Grace played. He was so excited he could barely finish his lunch to join them. Later that evening, I took some good pictures of Jason and the children. Okay, good is debatable, but they were memorable!

Welcome Home Sarah

We brought Sarah home on December 30 (our anniversary), and received a great welcome from "big brother" Joshua. His tenderness was overwhelming. We all sat in the floor as Joshua took turns from hugging myself and Jason while loving on Sarah in between. It was the sweetest moment. Jason and I took turns crying as we loved finally being at home with our children. My mom stayed with us for the rest of the day helping to get the house in order and cooking us a fabulous anniversary meal before she headed home to sleep in her own bed. Christy Corum came to visit and Joshua had tons of fun playing with the book she brought him. Later that evening, my cousin Katrina Patterson and her husband Casey stopped by. They were on their way home from visiting family in Baldwin County and headed back to Birmingham. It was great to see them too. We had a fine first day at home and a pretty pleasant first night too! Throughout the next few days we had many more visitors come to see the new addition to the family.

Sarah is Born

On December 28, 2005, we welcomed Sarah Christine Wohlford into the world at 12:05 p.m. My wonderful husband Jason stood by my side while my mom and best friend assisted as well. My nurse, Michelle, was excellent. It was obvious she loved her job. Dr. Matthew Phillips arrived in perfect timing just before noon, and after about five minutes of pushing, Sarah breathed air and saw light. She weighed seven pounds two and a half ounces and was 19 and a half inches long. My sister Amber, father-in-law Eddie, and Jason's cousin Josh were all waiting in the hall to greet Sarah. Soon after, Oma, Robin, Katy, Anne Louise, Jodie, Lisa and Sarah Austin arrived to meet Sarah as well. A few hours later, my dad brought "the big brother" Joshua to meet his little sister. Joshua was glad to see us all! We were an instant family of four. We had many more visitors that afternoon as we enjoyed being together. Thank you all for your prayers, support, and encouragement.

Baby Girl

Ultrasound pictures of our baby girl! The picture shows her sex very clearly. She is due mid January of next year.

Growth and Development

Pictures from first seven months of Joshua's life. How much he has changed and grown in such a short period of time. He's a great joy and blessing to our family.

Oma's Eightieth

Happy birthday Oma! Celebration photos of my Oma's 80th birthday party. We had some fine dinning at Blue Willow in Montgomery, Alabama. It was quite a time! And as always it was good to see the family. She will officially turn 80 on Wednesday, January 26, 2005.

Joshua's First Week

These pictures are from Joshua first week of life. Most of the pictures are of the many wonderful visitors we've had this past week. This group also shows shots of the trip home from the hospital. First hat!

Pictures from Pa

This group of photos are from my dad, Eddie Wohlford. Dad took some beautiful pictures , especially of his kids and grandkids. Thanks dad!

Joshua Prescott Wohlford

These pictures show the the labor and first day of Joshua Prescott Wohlford. Most of the pictures are of visitors who came Saturday and Sunday. Pictures published are a smaller subset of all pictures taken. Care has been taken to limit the graphic nature of labor and delivery. Nonetheless, please be warned that one picture is a tad graphic showing the father cutting the cord. It was such a sweet and incredible picture I had to share it. Thanks to Briana's mom Brenda Cooper and Briana's best friend Mandy Burbank for helping during labor delivery. Special thanks to Mandy for taking such great pictures during the birth.

Morningview Variety Show ’04

Pictures from the 2004 Morningview Baptist Church Variety Show. Not a talent in sight! Thanks to Tiffany Hudgins for all her hard work on making it a resounding success.

Damron Family Moves

This weekend Briana and I traveled with the Damron Family to their new home in Jacksonville, Florida. We will sorely miss Farrell, Teresa, little Farrell, Amber, Ashleigh, their dog Dusty, and all four of their cats. Thanks for befriending us, guys. It was always a pleasure.

Friday night Admiral movers finished packing everything Teresa hadn't had a chance to pack yet. Saturday morning the movers came back and loaded everything up in the big yellow Penske van. We all headed out for Jacksonville shortly thereafter. We arrived to their new home around 10:00 p.m. Sunday, Farrell and I unloaded all their stuff. Briana and I got up Monday morning and headed back to Montgomery, Alabama. Boy are we tired. The time change doesn't help either.

We enjoyed getting the opportunity to help the Damrons move. It was quite an adventure! You can find more pictures of the move on Briana's site.

Cooper-Collier Family Photos

This is a great photo collection containing some wonderful pictures of the Cooper-Collier family. Briana's Aunt Mary Lou Collier spent many hours collecting and scanning these pictures. We appreciate her sharing them with us so we could post them online. Thanks Mary Lou! Collier was originally spelled Caillier. Uncle Carl now goes by the original spelling in honor of his family heritage.

Carroll-Salter Wedding

Photos from Laura Salter and William Carroll's wedding on March 20, 2003 at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Bon Secour, Alabama. Laura is an old friend of Briana's from her Fish River days.

Chicago 2003

These are photos from a trip Briana and I took to Chicago in 2003. I left a week earlier for business related training on Creo's Prinergy prepress software. Briana joined me the following weekend. Emile Vaughan, president of Davis Printing, was kind enough to pay for Briana's room and travel to and from Chicago. Briana did an incredible job of planning for the weekend. We explored the city by plane, train, automobile, subway, and "The El". In the city we had some original Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, viewed the night vista at the Sears Tower, visited the Art Institute of Chicago, Union Station and the Navy Pier, dined at The Berghoff and the Dragonfly Mandarin, skated in Millennium Park, saw fireworks on the river, and had good ol' fashion snow fight. It was an absolute blast. We even got a chance to visit a Russian Baptist church in the city. Briana knew the pastor's wife Lydia from a previous mission trip to Russia. The entire service, both preaching and music, was in the Russian language. That was one tough sermon to follow! Even 'tho, it was great to worship God even in a different language. We then stayed a couple of more days so that I could train in Creo's Harmony.

Closet Makeover

These shots are from our hard work on our bedroom closet. We installed the Closet Maid track shelving and a set of bifold doors. Doesn't Briana look cute! There's also a good shot me in my long hair days.

Bowles-Corum Wedding

Photos from Nicki Bowels and Keith Corum's wedding on August 7, 2003 at the Point in Orange Beach, Alabama. "The Point" was completely washed away by Hurricane Ivan. Also pictures before the wedding and at the reception. Having the wedding on the beach was both elegant and breathtaking. A beach-side wedding also makes things fun when it rains! During the ceremony it started to poor. As the priest was saying his homily we could see in the rain coming toward us over the ocean. Both Keith and Nicki weathered it well. First and foremost we're their loving commitment to each other.

Jonathan's Graduation

This set of pictures is from my brother Jonathan Wohlford's high school graduation. The event was well attended by a hugh portion of the Wohlford family. Congratulations Jon boy!

Crowell-McCorkle Wedding

Photos from Fran Crowell and Chris McCorkle's wedding on December 28, 2002 at Gateway Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Pastor Gary Sanders officiated. Also pictures of the following reception in Prattville, Alabama. Chris gave me the honor of serving as a groomsman as I did him in my wedding. Our buddy Keith was also a groomsman.

The day I found out Chris and Fran were about to have their first date is a day I'll never forget. I thought they were a match made in heaven. And I was just overjoyed at possibilities!

New Years 2003

These pictures are from our trip to Briana's home during New Years 2003. First, we meet her old friends at Ruby Tuesday's. It was really good to see them all again. Then Briana and I went put-put golfing. Briana was horrible! (Love you honey.) She hit the ball so hard it wound up several greens away in a drained pond. Next we headed to Aunt Jeannie's beach condo off of Fort Morgan Road. Brenda's ya-ya sisters were all there to be found. Finally, Briana's family Mark, Brenda, and Amber came and stayed with us at Donna's Beach House on Point Ono.

Cooper-Patterson Wedding

Photos from Katrina Cooper and Casey Patterson on May 8, 2003 at a beautiful bed and breakfast in Bon Secour, Alabama. Katrina is cousin to Briana. Included is a lovely family photo of Amber, Mark, Brenda, Jason and Briana.

Renovation

These photos are from our homestead renovation in Montgomery, Alabama. Pictures show reconstruction of the front room, kitchen, back room, and massive cleanup of our overgrown back fence. Because of several issues that came up and required my attention, Briana wound up laying most of the 500 plus feet of parkay floor. Go Briana! We had already finished our master and guest bedrooms. Thanks a lot to Keith Corum and Mr. Burbank, Scott Burbank's father, for all the help felling those five trees and the accompanying cleanup. All this renovation was a lot of work. Now that's the Do-It-Yourself spirit!
